Aunt Abby & John Married... The Reception

I have to give props to my awesome mother-in-law Joanie and her sister Gloria, the Gepharts and everyone else who was involved in the planning, preparation and execution of the reception.  It turned out B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.  And I really really mean it.  The venue...(aka Gepharts' backyard) was beautifully groomed and looked wonderful.  Joanie and Gloria organized and decorated the reception and it was nothing short of stunning.  Joanie also made lots and lots and lots and did I mention LOTS of refreshments (cupcakes, lemon bars, brownies).  Wonderful help came during the reception from my mother-in-law's friend and neighbors.  My wonderful mom was even there helping in the kitchen.   J's awesome littlest sister Vicki made the gorgeous wedding cake.  Man alive she has talent!   My father-in-law funded it....so props to him too!!!  Joanie was also kind enough to help me make the girls' skirts in the middle of all of it.  THANK YOU!!  All in all it was stunning, beautiful, wonderful and hopefully it was a dream come true for Mrs. Abby Garn!!!

Aunt Abby & John Married.... At the Temple

Abby, J's sister, got married on Friday, July 30th.  She and John Garn were married in the Logan UT LDS Temple.  They were seal by Patriarch Jerry Buchanan, who happened to perform our sealing way back when... Nine years ago... :)  Anyways it was a beautiful sealing and we had a fun filled day afterwards.  My mom was kind enough to have a slumber party with the girls the night before then bring them back over to get ready with C and she brought us our kids over to the temple so they could be there when Abby & John came out.  It was a beautiful (warm, hot - ya'll know how well I do when its hot) summer day.  I snapped plenty of pictures (keep in mind...I am still working on getting better at photography...)  Here are some pictures of the kiddos before Abby & John came out of the temple -

(If I do say so...I think we have some pretty darn cute kiddos!!!)
I have one of O by herself but it is a little blurry (darn 50mm or maybe its darn camera or maybe darn person running the camera)

Is there any question to which side of the family O gets her red hair from....
(For answer see picture below...)
Here is the beautiful couple (picture is a little overexposed) -
After the pictures were taken and we were just about ready to head to the Wedding Luncheon, I took some pictures of the kids out side of the temple -

C was tired and tired of having his picture taken by mom at this point (hmmm....come to think of it, his dad was pretty tired of it too!) He was kind enough to let me capture the above picture but was soooo done after that.  So I didn't get one of him in with the temple in the background.

I do have to say that I am in love with this next picture....

This Picture Makes Me Smile...

(It's a little bit overexposed but I still love it!)

I took this picture on C's birthday.  He had a pretty darn good day.  In the morning the girls went to help Grandma and Abby and we just had mommy and C time.  Boy howdy...we need that every once in awhile (gonna get more of that when the girlies go back to school at the end of August).   Then we went to pick up M from Abby and they played and had a fun time spending time together.  He took a really good nap then he played some more with M.  They had been having fun squealing and playing with his free balloon from Kent's.  I caught this picture while they were playing together before the birthday party.  I love that smile on his cute little face.  I love that M loves him to pieces!  This was one of those "I wish I could freeze time" moments.

I love these ones too!  He's got the biggest eyes!!!

(These are also a little overexposed and a little blurry...that darn 50mm of mine...its a love hate relationship... I love it to pieces and its my favorite lens but...with the camera I have it is only manual focus.... I never can tell if its out of focus or if my contacts are dry and blurry... I guess I'll have to upgrade cameras... someday...if I can get money to grow on trees!!!)

Batman....

This is C's new favorite-get-him-to-smile word...  IT actually works and he has no clue who or what Batman is...he just loves to say it and smile and...sometimes giggle...hey its a funny word!!!

(Please ignore my poor little boys dirty face...)

Time to Download Pictures...

Whoops.....I haven't downloaded pictures off of my camera in awhile..... I'm only behind by say 965 pictures taken in the last month.... Whoops....  Hope my USB drive has enough memory left...

Two!!!

Our little stud muffin turns TWO today!!!  That's right, you heard me say ....TWO!!!  He is an awesome little boy and we all LOVE him to pieces.  It definitely doesn't not feel like two years have past since he joined our family.  I wish I could just push pause and slow time down a little bit to have more moments to soak in this fun (and sometimes trying...) stage.

His stats at his 2-year Check Up were:
Height:  34.5" 56% (normal height for his age)
Weight:  24.5 lbs  11%  (Do ya think we got a skinny mini on our hands...wish his mom had that problem)

His little rays of sunshine that we adore about him right now:
-He has the absolutely biggest eyes ever.
-He adores and loves his sisters so much....even when fighting there is love
-Still calls McCall - Call Call and calls Oaklie - Call Call...but he knows the difference and has started to somewhat say Oakie.
-His crooked little cheesy grin.  Makes my heart melt.
-His deep desire for "rides" (Ranger/four-wheeler/(tractor if possible)
-He loves baths!
-He likes to volunteer for prayer...He raises his hand when his dad asks who wants to say prayer and then he just smiles the whole time while your helping him.
-He loves his snuggles at before bedtime and his snuggles in the morning.
-He ADORES tractors, tractors, tractors, and did I forget to mention....TRACTORS!  He is in seventh heaven when we go up to Garth's or when the tractor is at Grandpa Call's.
-He loves to help feed and check up on all of the animals.
-He has THE cutest little colt whinney you have ever heard.
-He wants to wear his "boos" (boots) all the time.  Looks pretty studly with his footie pajama's and his boots!
-He is a daddy's boy...but sometimes he lets me in on the action and becomes a mama's boy (which I'll take any chance I can get!).
-Lately, he does not like getting out of his jammies... He likes to snuggle in them as long as he can!
-He is starting to love the Big Slide at the "Big Slide Pool" (as M calls it (aka Brigham Pool)).  He likes going down with his dad.
-Loves mooing at the cow and riding the horses.
-He still has a very devoteness to his binky, his bottle and his blankie...still a little concerned he may never get weaned of any of those three things :)
-Loves, loves, loves Creamies, Otter Pops, and Ice Cream
-He looks absolutely adorable in his little Cinch jeans.  Downright handsome I think....

And there are a couple things he is not to fond of right now:
-Eating (unless its junk food)....just kidding...well maybe not...
-Sharing...especially in nursery....he gets kicked out often
-Others sitting on his mom's lap....especially in nursery...
-Maybe nursery????....
-Coming in the house at the end of the day to get ready for bed...too much fun outside I guess
-Losing the his binkey
-Going to bed...he'll shake his head "no" when its time to go and he gives a best puppy dog eyes to get out of going

We LOVE and ADORE you little buddy!!!

XOXOXO,
Mama and Papa

Girls - Training Wheels

The girls took their training wheels off today and are determined to ride their two-wheelers. Both crashed but are doing pretty good.  Cash is copying them...he laid his bigwheel down on the ground sideways and laid down a couple feet from it and said "I dying."
