Can you hear it?

So when the kids are complaining or whining I rub my fingers together and ask the girls if they can her it. They ask what it is and I tell them its the worlds smallest violin and I am playing "My Heart Breaks for You." So today M was messing around with the Wii and I couldn't hold her still so I could point the remote at the Wii and I asked her to stop wiggling. She looked at my and started rubbing her fingers together and said,"Can you hear it?" Its a small violin and I am playing "My Heart Breaks for You." Oh my... I busted a gut laughing. The things small ones catch on to.

Aghhhhh!!! She did it again...

I am threatening to chop my little darling sweet 4-yr olds hair off completely...like a boy. She keeps getting scissors. Last night I was at YW and they got home from J's parents. O said M is in trouble. Then I figured it out. She cut her hair at Grandma M's house. This time she I guess had a pig tail and it was a total accident, but she couldn't get the pigtail out so she cut it along with some hair..... AGHHHHH!!! It is not that noticable but oh my heavens.... enough with the scissors. Everyone we know and love and visit your home - please please for my sanity's sake put your scissors away and out of my little girls reach.

Snip, Snip - but not the kind your thinking....

So our darling little 4 year old has decided that she wants to cut hair.... her own.... YIKES!!!! About a month ago she hacked off some at my mom's house and she was pretty sly about it. I didn't notice for a couple days. I was standing over her right before preschool and I noticed she had some really short short short bangs... complements of herself. I had been thinking that I was having a really hard time getting her hair to look good, which I was since she had cut her own hair. So we had a little talking to her and my mom talked to her on the phone and I THOUGHT I had that issue under control. Well... I found her with scissors in her room the other day. Not thinking anything of it I told her to put them away. She had found them in O's backpack. She jumped right up and put them away. So Tuesday I went to help her fix her hair for preschool and she had cut some more bangs. At least these were long enough that I was able to take her to my cousin's salon and get them fix. Needless to say she now has long bangs with really really short short short ones underneath. She hasn't had bangs since she was about 2 1/2. She actually looks really cute with them. When I get a moment I'll take a picture and post it. Moral of the story, if a 4 year old has scissors...she probably has cut her hair.
